A couple of months ago, I had a difference of opinion with another RADPer over
which city felt hotter in August - Orlando or Atlanta. I said Orlando; he said
Atlanta. I promised to keep track of the weather records for August 2001, so
we could compare the results. Here they are. |
| For housing we recommend the following, as they are close to the Shrine
facility and inexpensive and only about 11 miles from the parade start. Some
have transportation from the Airport to the hotel and vice-versa

| According to weather.com, the mean temperature for Atlanta in August
historically is 78 degrees Farenheit, so this was a typical August in Atlanta.
The mean temperature for Orlando historically is 83 degrees Farenheit, so this
August was cooler than usual in Orlando. |
