| We would like to invite you and your members and friends to participate in the
2000 Florida Citrus Bowl All-Star Drum & Bugle Corps hosted by Heat Wave of
Orlando. Below you will find an itinerary and helpful info on housing and
transportation in Orlando. We have secured the travel agency owned by Bahia
Shrine Drum & Bugle Corps member Jerry Higgenson to help anyone needing flight
help. ALL-TRAVEL SERVICES can be reached at 407-851-1751. After the parade on
Saturday a Bar-B-Que will be held sponsored by the Bahia Shrine Drum & Bugle
Corps at the Shrine facility picnic pavilion. Cost is $8.00 per person and
includes ALL-YOU CAN EAT Burgers and dogs, plus side items and 2 beverage
coupons (beer, soda, mixed drink). Additional alcohol tickets can be purchased
for $1.00 and soda for $.50. We need to get a count on how many to feed, so get
us your info ASAP!! |
| Only 6 days in Atlanta had mean temps and dew points high enough for a heat
index reading to be applicable, while Orlando had 18 days in which the heat
index was applicable. The above averages were based on those days in each
city. |
| For housing we recommend the following, as they are close to the Shrine
facility and inexpensive and only about 11 miles from the parade start. Some
have transportation from the Airport to the hotel and vice-versa
Intrastate Inns & Suites Extended Stay America
Fairfield Inn
